Four decades in the making.
The name is established
The Thain Wildbur & Co East Dereham name was established on 1st November 1985 as part of a wider group of accountancy practices operating across Norfolk. Over time, the original branches were sold to their respective branch managers, allowing each office to develop independently whilst continuing to serve the communities they had supported for many years.
Keith Dickerson takes on the Dereham office
The Dereham office was purchased by Keith Dickerson on 7th April 1990. Over the next 35 years, Keith built a trusted local practice based on straightforward advice, personal service, and long-term client relationships. Many of the clients who joined the firm during those early years remain with us today.
A permanent home at Rashes Green
As the practice continued to grow, Thain Wildbur & Co East Dereham moved to its current office at Rashes Green, Dereham, taking on the lease on 1st September 2013. The move provided a permanent home for the business and created the foundations for future growth.
A new chapter begins
A significant milestone came in October 2025, when Keith sold the practice to Luke Perry and Scott Luck. Having worked closely with the business and its clients, Luke and Scott were carefully selected by Keith to continue the firm's values whilst helping guide clients through an increasingly digital accounting landscape.
With the introduction of Making Tax Digital, cloud accounting software, and evolving HMRC requirements, the accounting profession continues to change rapidly. Keith wanted to ensure the practice remained in safe hands and that clients would continue to receive the personal service they had come to expect, whilst benefiting from modern systems and technology.
Still part of the story.
Having dedicated much of his career to building trusted relationships with clients across Dereham and the surrounding areas, Keith can now enjoy a well-earned retirement.
Whilst he is no longer involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, he remains on hand if needed and continues to be a valued part of the Thain Wildbur story.
